The 20 Ackley Hornet is another Ackley cartridge design that uses the .22 Hornet as the parent cartridge, creating a very fast and efficient varmint hunting cartridge. This design includes the .20 Ack Hornet text, along with an angry hornet that is ready to sting! Included below is a realistic illustration of the .20 Ackley Hornet, printed on an Ash or Sand color, 100% Pre-Shrunk Cotton Shirt (Gildan 2000). 

The .20 Ackley Hornet originated in the 1990s (?) as a wildcat cartridge created by necking down and “Ackley-improving” the .22 Hornet case to .204 caliber. Designed for efficient, low-recoil varmint performance, it offered excellent accuracy and higher velocities than the standard Hornet with modest powder charges. Never standardized, it remains a niche favorite among handloaders and small-varmint hunters seeking efficiency and quiet performance.
